ZGIERZ COMMUNE – THE PLACE OF YOUR BUSINESS SUCCESS

        Zgierz Commune is one of the biggest communes in Poland and the biggest one in Łódź Province. It offers not only modern infrastructure and highly attractive tourist sites which make the commune an exciting place to live and relax. Its greatest advantage is the perfect location to grow a contemporary business. The local community with great potential offers competitive market conditions while the open policy of the local government ensures support at every stage of the investment project.

        The central location of Zgierz Commune in Poland, the vicinity of the Łódź agglomeration as well as the course and intersection of roads of international and national importance on the territory of the commune create great conditions for investments. For future investors the fact that there are two exits from A2 motorway, is not without meaning: the so-called “Zgierz” junction and “Piątek” junction as well as the vicinity of the intersection of the A1 and A2 motorways (22 km from the “Zgierz” junction) in Zgierz Commune. It is at the same time the intersection of some of the most important transport thoroughfares in Europe – proximity to the biggest economies in the EU (primarily Germany) and easy access to the markets beyond EU’s eastern border are particularly important for investors who establish their facilities with export in mind.

The Commune lies in close vicinity of the Władysław Reymont International Airport in Łódź (c. 23 km) as well as Łódź Fabryczna (c. 22 km) and Łódź Kaliska (c. 21 km) railway stations.

In anticipation of the expectations of potential investors, zoning plans were designed and approved for the areas adjacent to the motorway junctions or located nearby.

In the commune Zgierz is located about 500 hectares of land for investment purposes.

The approved plans provide for areas earmarked for services, manufacturing and housing purposes divided into three zones, located in:

A) Dąbrówka Wielka
B) Emilia and Słowik
C) Lućmierz

The land for investment in Dąbrówka Wielka is located near the “Piątek” junction of A2 motorway whereas the corresponding plots in Emilia and Słowik are near the exit from A2 – the “Emilia” junction. Thanks to the proper regulation of zoning matters, it was possible to establish a sub-zone of Łódź Special Economic Zone in Lućmierz. The plot of land is very attractive, it lies along state road No. 91, close to the Emilia junction.

Manufacturing premises, warehouse and storage development areas – about 331 ha
Service development area – about 194 ha
Detached house development area – about 154 ha
Housing development area – about 31 ha
